Located in Lock Haven Pennsylvania, Lock Haven University is a public university. It is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

History of Lock Haven University
Originally known and established as the Central State Normal School in 1870. In 1927 it was named the State Teachers College in Lock Haven and in 1960 the name was finally changed to Lock Haven State College.
The school became a part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education in 1983 and came to be known as Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
History of Presidents at Lock Haven University
In 2004, the former president of the University, Craig Dean Willis resigned from Lock Haven. Shortly after, the vacancy was occupied by Keith T. Miller.
In 2010, after Miller left the position of President, Barbara Dixon, which was the former president of Truman State University was nominated as the Interim President.
In 2014, Michael Fiorentino, Jr. came to be the president of the University until he retired in 2018. Presently, the president of Lock Haven University is Robert Pignatello.
The Havenscope, Lock Haven University TV, – a TV majorly run by students- broadcasts news, sports, and other programs.
The Havenscope studio maintains 2,300 square feet (210 m2) and is situated next to WLHU, Lock Haven University’s radio station.
The studio is located on the sixth floor of Robinson Hall. The studio is well furnished – with a green screen, a minimum of three main broadcast cameras, an integrated TriCaster 8000 production system for audio and video production, various broadcast monitors, a roll-in system- and several other broadcast systems.
Lock Haven University television studio is completely digital and comprises a teleprompter system, two editing bays, and field production equipment.
The television studio also has two backdrops, one is mainly for news broadcasts while the other one is for interviews.
Every week, a minimum of one show is aired at the studio. The show known as LHU in Review is hosted by LHU students. The show covers a range of topics which includes news, and sports amongst others.
“The Morning Alarm” was a brief morning news show that commenced in the late 1980s. It was run by students at the top of the hour. This show will be aired live at first in the morning before being re-broadcast through the campus television between breakfast and lunch.
The television station mostly broadcasts sporting events and several other programs.
The WLHU, Lock Haven University’s radio station is an online radio station. The radio station streams live on the internet. Students can have effortless access into the radio studio and television studio since it is situated in the same facility.
WLHU employs a studio that broadcasts daily with a free format program schedule. The station also broadcasts several sporting events and other programs across the school year. Students can access the school’s radio club and build their own radio station broadcast.
The Eagle Eye is Lock Haven University’s student campus newspaper. The Eagle Eye possesses a fresh computer creation facility -this comprises a desktop graphics text scanner, CD-ROMS, digital photography, and World Wide Web interface. Campus Violence Prevention Program:
Campus Violence Prevention Program is a crime prevention program. It is centered on academic programming, perception, and deterrence of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Student Activities Office:
The Student Activities Office is comprised of experienced staff who are hired by the Student Auxiliary Services. This Student Activities Office is accountable for guaranteeing the day-to-day operations of the organization.

- Bookstore Staff
The Student Auxiliary Services own and run the bookstore at LHU. All of the earnings from the bookstore are focused on financing clubs and organizations on campus. The bookstore is situated in the lower part of the PUB.
Clubs and organizations
More than 140 clubs and organizations at Lock Haven University are financed and backed by the Student Auxiliary Services (SAS). The clubs are sponsored by earnings from the bookstore and student activity fees.
The music program at Lock Haven provides many extracurricular recreations for students to partake in. For example, we have the marching band, concert band, percussion ensemble, choral ensembles, and jazz ensembles.
Student Recreation Center
Every student of Lock Haven University has access to the Student Recreation Center. The Student Recreation Center facility offers athletics activities to stay physically fit.
Equipment in this facility includes a rock wall, an indoor track with a length of about 1/8 mile, basketball, racquetball, and intramural sports.
